Biomechanical Assessment

What are biomechanics? What is a biomechanical assessment? Biomechanics are how your muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints interact. Everyone’s biomechanics are unique to them.

A biomechanical assessment is when we take a look at your unique biomechanics. It involves taking a detailed history, assessing your joints and muscles in non weight bearing and weight bearing situations. Assessing your gait and developing a individualised treatment program. It’s a slightly longer appointment as we require a look at your foot wear (sports, work and casual) and we need to see your lower limb so appropriate clothing like shorts or leggings are helpful.
